U=U, PrEP, Substance Use, and HIV Self-Testing: Key Findings from Sex Now 2021

Has knowledge and use of U=U and PrEP changed over time? Who’s interested in HIV self-testing? How are substances used, and related supports provided, in our communities? Sex Now is Canada’s largest and longest-running survey of gay, bisexual, trans, and queer men, and Two-Spirit and non-binary (GBT2Q) people, serving as an essential source of data for policymakers and community advocates alike.

In this webinar, CBRC’s Research Director, Dr. Nathan Lachowsky (he/him), shared key findings from Sex Now 2021 related to trends on topics such as U=U awareness, PrEP uptake, and substance use among GBT2Q communities. He also shared information about the Sex Now 2022 study, which is taking place in-person at Pride festivals and related community venues across Canada this summer.
